Golden Lion Poem by Jason Murak

Golden Lion

The Goldon Lion shining off the street sign
Car light reflection of my star bright affection
It blinds as it comes back to my eye
It blinds my sight, but my heart puts me in the right direction

Making my eyes close but I still see
I open them and the colorful swirls
Purple and blue, so strange
Yet Im led by your hand, your unlike other girls

The Golden Lion still bright in my face
I keep control of the wheel
And pull over to a secret place
I put this lion in my pocket, the light concealed

The Golden Lion is crazy with its roar
I bring it back out, go through the car door
The lion, shining off the street sign, reflecting much more
than just light

Its my feelings projecting
Shining, shooting, ejecting
I dont care to find out
If I had a life without

This lion is tame
My affection a-flame
The Golden Lion who came
never let me feel the same
