Gold To Silver Poem by Caroline Misner

Gold To Silver

Sun flashes across the tranquil lake,
pale upon the water,
glittering off the backs of minnows
in schools—darting, dashing,
washing the gold to silver.

The meandering spiral of the sun
is nothing but a marginal lament
blown away to nothing.
