God Warns. Poem by Narayanan Nair. P Perunthanam

God Warns.

Rating: 3.0

Gods in heaven tell us all
Only One is God in many many names.
Names are His Qualities all
That Man presumed needs to be a Lord.
More than languages six thousand
Call Him, pray Him, blame Him, feed Him
To get them fed, protected by worldly Lord
For them is: Protector God the Lord.
But these Lords for wealth
Stealthily mix obsession in Faith of fanatics
And like hounds to bounce,
Upon innocents, bring up to delight Lords.
(Un) pleasant God, warns instant fall
Good for virtues, cares for vices; but who cares
The Wealthy, healthy, try to buy all.
Earth-quake, Kathrina, Tsunami kill
Man made drought and flood of Greed: still
Smell of decayed culture fill
No God will save us unless for it we drill.

There is only one Truth and one God! Different religions are paths leading to the same destination! But each believer thinks that his is the only true God and intolerance and fanaticism, violence and blood shed are the net results! When will man discover the ultimate truth? A powerful write! !

God's warnings go mostly unheeded. the greed for wealth blinds the truth. Nicely exposed.
