God's Grandeur Poem by survi sharma

God's Grandeur

Rating: 5.0

The world is charged with the grandeur of God
it will flame out, like shining from shook foil.,
it gathers to a greatness,
like the ooze of oil
crushed. Why do men then now not reck his rod?
generations have trod, have trod, have trod.,
and all is seared with a trade., bleared., smeared with toil.,
and wears men's smudge and shares men's smell: the soil,
is bare now, nor can foot feel, being shod

and for all this, nature is never spent,
there lives a dearest freshness, deep down things,

thanks for comment re Coincidence. this one reminds me of Walt Whitman's poem in which he finds himself amazed that the earth is still so sweet despite all the bodies that have been buried in it. Yours is an update.
