God`s Gentle Rain Poem by James Mcqueen Williams

God`s Gentle Rain

A gentle rain is falling, Evening`s quiet lament, Thoughts of bygone things gone wrong, And of times that have came and went, If I could only travel back, And undo some things I`ve done, My conscience would rest easier, As in the days when I was young, Don`t let my feet be swift to act, When my temper is awry, But may the soothing sound of God`s gentle rain, Be with me till I die.
