From loneliness
And hopelessness
Jehovah rescued me
He gave me friends
And new life plans

Yes Jehovah rescued me

From frightening thoughts
Of existing, not
Jehovah rescued me
He taught me life's purpose
And how to use life to serve him

Yes Jehovah rescued me

From a crowded path
Leading to death
Jehovah rescued me
He lead me to the narrow road
A path that only few behold

Yes Jehovah rescued me

From a sinful life
Of agony and strife
Jehovah rescued me
I learned to always do what's right
Not in my eyes, but in his eyes

Yes Jehovah rescued me

So today I pledge
To never forget
Jehovah rescued me
I will do my best
No matter the test

To serve him faithfully
