God Poem by Stephanie Fleharty

God

Rating: 5.0

if god really loved
then why would he hurt the inoccent
if god really cared
then why did he leave me alone with bleeding wrists
if god really existed
then why is the world so horrible
if god really saw
all the hate in me why am i not in hell?
if god really could hear me
then why am i here now?
if god was here to help
why am i in so much trouble
if god is allways with you
why am i so alone?
if god could really speak'
why is the room so silent?
if beleiving, hopeing, dreaming will help
then i will beleive that god is a fake
i will hope that one day soon i'll die
i will dream that someone will finally care

Ah... This reminds me of a message our preacher recently did at church... God has his reasons for things. May they be bad or good. Like when something bad happens, he may have done it to make you stronger. He always has his reasons and he is always with you. You may not think he is, but it's true. In order to hear him, you need to actually listen. You are closing your ears on him. You think he isn't there... So he just lets you think that. When you are ready to accept him, he will come. And I know this because many bad things have happened in my life, but I know he is there for me when I need someone to listen to me, or just to talk to.
