When I read this poem the first time the other day, I didn't even notice that it had a sound track. I have just listened to your reading of the poem, and it was great. I love that British accent of yours. I never get to hear anything like that in Utah (or here in Brazil) . (Report) Reply

Ah, yes! I love to fish, so why haven't I yet written a poem about fishing? I really enjoyed yours. Congratulations on Poem of the day!
One little tip to make it even better:
First line of verse four, you meant YOU'RE instead of YOUR.
    Good job! (Report) Reply

Nice old fashioned language that sounds wistful and sophisticatedly content with life. (Report) Reply

it's a very nice poem...In fact any activity for that matter that involves soul and passion, bird watching, photography, gardening, painting, reading, drawing, is rewarding and gives us fond memories to fall back on during hard times...like Wordsworth in 'Daffodils.' (Report) Reply
