Glory Poem by John C. Blalock III

Glory

They were singing ballads
From the balcony of the hotel
The other day,
The saga of heroes,
From the balcony above the pool and jacuzzi
With its fine architecture,
Who is responsible?
The saga of heroes!
This gathering of the masses
A fine citizenry and structure
Of the life!
Who is responsible?
The saga of heroes!
The saga of Heroes!
It is written here; that no man
Shall fail in his attempt at glory.
However, he may find, he was sorely mistaken
And that actually the elixir of all life
Is held in a cup called conversation.
