Global Warming? Poem by GORDON BUTCHERS

Global Warming?

No summer, no winter
All seasons seem as one,
Where is the ice and snow?
And weeks of warm summer sun,

Long and warm settled summers
Maybe a thing of the past,
Many winter days seem mild and wet
With cold spells that never last.

Many places flooded by heavy rain
Others with famine and drought,
Is it something we can prevent?
Or do absolutely nothing about.

Spring flowers appear in December
Early by two months and more,
Alarming or just unusual?
A natural cycle that has happened before.

The birds are nesting earlier
And butterflies in January seems so strange,
Is this just unusual?
Or a sign of climate change.
