Glass Stars Poem by Autumn Winds

Glass Stars

Rating: 4.8

My glass stars break
When they kiss the ground
And my night rings with
The broken, hollow sound
The place, one shining and bright
Flew away the moment my glass star fell
And upon the mountains tops
The memories burn
Of my unwinding path that twists and turns
There is now a key with no lock
A bell that does not toll
Now all that lies there
Is frightened and old
And under the water
Is where the shards now reside
Unchained and untamed
And this is all that remains
Of my little glass star
The one that fell from the heavens
And hit the ground hard
