Giver Poem by Vera Sidhwa

Giver

Giver

He was a giver,
Never a taker,
But when he gave,
He automatically got.

I was a taker.
Never a giver.
I took so much.
I exhausted everyone.

One day it occurred to me,
To ask the giver,
How he possibly always gave.
He gave me advice.

He said, I find pleasure in giving.
In giving, I already so much get.
This was his beautiful mindset.
He was truly a bounteous giver.
