Give To Me, Lie To Me Poem by Kewayne Wadley

Give To Me, Lie To Me

Tell me,
Tell me who I'd have to be,
What I'd have to do,
To be the glimmer that spreads across your eye,
What ocean would I have to swim,
Not knowing how to swim,
What mountain would I have to climb,
Not knowing the elevation of height,
When I needed you, I prayed,
Only to perceive that I needed to be someone else,
See, noone has hurt me more than you,
What are the words,
Where there is pain, there is also a pharmicist,
There to heal the sick pain that can't be told,
Noone has hurt me more than you,
Who would I have to be,
To catch the love in your eye a second before it starts,
Whom would I have to be to live for you,
Where every breath that doesn't belong to me, becomes yours,
Rather than hear the pain grow in your voice when you talk to me,
Why won't you
