GIVE me women, wine, and snuff
Untill I cry out 'hold, enough! '
You may do so sans objection
Till the day of resurrection:
For, bless my beard, they aye shall be
My beloved Trinity.

আমাকে দাও নারী, মদ, শিখর উদ্দামও// জন কীটস

আমাকে দাও নারী, মদ, শিখর উদ্দামও
যতক্ষণ না-চেঁচিয়ে উঠছি, ‘যথেষ্ঠ হলো, থামো!
যতক্ষণ না আসছে পুনরুত্থানের দিন
ওসবে সম্মতি দিও, আপত্তিবিহীন:
আশীর্বাদ করো আমার দাড়ি ও গোঁফকে, না যেন আসে যম,
হ্যাঁ, ওই তিনেই লক্ষ্য আমার ত্রিবেণী-সঙ্গম।
