Girlies Poem by Yasmin Khan

Girlies

Skylarks in bunches
and pony-tails
romp and jump
the girlies in flail
tinkling laughs
pranks and prattles
cheery like cherries,
clatters and rattles
hearts on swings
drifting with butterflies
wishes with wings
fireflies in eyes
roses on lips
fairest of fairies
the carefree nymphs
fresh like dew
as nightingales sing
songs all new!
