Girl Under Water Poem by Victoria Revier

Girl Under Water

Girl under water
Bounding off your heart
Yelling into open space
With a face of op art

Girl five feet under
Carving swiftly her name
Into your casket,
Standing through the rain

Girl scratching at your door
Howling to the moon
Dancing with the bugs of night,
Beckoning to you soon

Girl brewing, stewing lies
Thin as chiffon
Spooning them to your mouth
Shifty as the swan
