Gift Poem by lingering stupor

Gift

Rating: 4.0

Despair and pain i felt these passing days
A weight so overwhelming its broken me in ways
A normal man could take his own to ease the pain
But am not with the norm and death is no gain

From afar a being was given
Hair shining a smile from the heaven
With her came some welcome thought
On how to ease the weight i have brought

Sensible in her ways true
A laughter sweet and new
Listen to my heart she did
Seen the pain long i hid

Thank God for someone like her
Death was upon me when met i did her
Taste and will still aludes me
But when she listens and laughs she enlightens me
