Ghosts Poem by Alexander Foald

Ghosts

Do you remember?
The first day of summer
They put the fire up there
Where our dreams stay forever

It’s easy to forget what made us laugh
And it’s easier to remember what made us cry
Everything left on those beautiful days
Now seems so far to be taken back

Am I imagining you?
You and those wasted tears
But I couldn’t help but waiting
This time to last for tomorrow

Don’t forget me now and then
Or whatever we ever built together
If there are days for us to come by
Let’s exchange our memories again
