Yeh Wohi ghar hay ke jismen kabhi hum rahte they,
Han kabhi aap ke Akhtar pe karam rahte they.
Aao is dil mein zara jhank ke dekho to sahi,
Yeh woh mandir hay ke isme bhi sanam rahte they.
Zindagi bhar ki kamai woho chand roz to hain,
Jin dinon aap ke is dil pe sitam rahte they.
Choti choti si woh khushian bhi theen kitni sadah,
Kitne masoom they is dil mein jo gham rahtet they.
Rooth jate they to baton mein laga deta tha,
Tum khafa rahte they lekin zara kam rahte they.
Apni khafgi ko tum auron se chupa lete they,
Kam se kam ghairon pe chahat ke bharam rahte they.
Kash apna lo woh andaz dobarah Akhtar,
Jab sitam karte to mael bah karam rahte they.
