You know, I can hardly wait
Till the flowers adorn the land
Colorful fragrant blossoms
Will rise up and take a stand

Each with its own personality
So unique with style and grace
And if you take time to notice
Each has a distinctive little face

Bees buzzing on their pedals
Butterflies stopping to say “Hi”
The most perfect time of year
And no one has to ask why

Flower beds overflowing
Intermingling with sweet scents
You can pick lots of bouquets
And you don’t even make a dent

So get ready, folks, for summer
Put away all your long underwear
Our world will brighten with wonder
And we can put away winter cares!
