Woke up four hours ago
Went to sleep five hours before that
This jetlag
I usually readjust

This time I didn't bother
I snuggled under blankets on the couch

I got up telling myself
that I would get enough sleep
I would be fine
I told myself that I would get my work done
Complete my assignments within few hours

Yet I haven't started a single one
They were assigned so long ago
We have had much time to work on them so
I am not giving excuses

I am tired and distracted
Perhaps I should drink a mug of tea
Lovely tea
Warming and caffeinating?

Oh, how complex are our bodies
The wonders of the mind, brain, and sleep

I shall get a move on
or soon be depleted of all my energy

Competition
Idols and icons for me to study
To build life from

Intellectuals
Musicians
Artists

Sophistication
Commitment
Studying

Enjoyment and pleasure
Passion and fervor

Easy, now
Work smartly
