Gestures Of Goodwill

Befriending of your enemy's enemy
is like a holding-hands-while-walking along
post-war meadow filled with
un-defused undetected landmines
yet ready to explode

it's like carrying a loaded cartridge
of egoistic bullets design to trigger up fire
assassinating the now communal antagonist character

and you, yourself become his blind-folded shield
a neophite frontal ally for an offensive-defensive attack

where is he, the so-called friend, when he is not
yet your ''enemy's enemy''
why he keeps on attaching you by now
when both of you are wounded and acting as casualties

if inevitable,
just throw a goodwill gesture
in front of him.
It reflects realization.
