Georgia O'Keeffe Poem by Joseph Narusiewicz

Georgia O'Keeffe

The tiger walks the abandoned village
Sitar corpse like honey bees
Sounds of the swirling stars
Golden rose filled with snow
Silk confidence with feet of Buddha
Tryptophan orange dreams

She feels the beast in her heart
Wrestle with naive sweet blue
Red anger rides the highway
We change no one
Run for the base
Run for karma

Your crinoline scarf in the cold wind
Jamaica has witch doctors
The wolf is really a ridiculous mole
Your heart like a catatonic pilgrim
Real world of steel romance
Every card played is a chance

Olives with garlic and oats
Rainbows filled with her color
Toe rings and a deep long kiss
Gardens rich as moonbeam joy
Spells from the Caribbean shamans
She brings fire that burns like stars

Palm trees in the calico dust
Cries of a heart ravished in the grain
Dice role in a Hawaiian shirt
Ancestry linger in the ghost town
Azaleas blossom like violet soul
I meet her amidst the Buffalo

Topaz has energy
Rubies from the old tribes
Turquoise Goddess as dark as cactus
Chakras like purple high heels
Gloves of Hemingway
Pineapple almond artist lovers

Georgia O'Keeffe flowers Bloom
