George Moir Black Poem by Edgar Albert Guest

George Moir Black

A FRIEND has passed
Across the bay,
So wide and vast,
And put away
The mortal form
That held his breath;
But through the storm
That men call death,
Erect and straight,
Unstained by years,
At Heaven's gate
A man appears.
