Gentle Rain Poem by Cynthia Buhain-baello

Gentle Rain

Have you ever
Listened to the sound
Of gentle rain?
Drink with eyes closed
A soothing lullaby
Music for repose
Like a baby's sigh
Sound so soft
With chirps of birds
That bathe
Unafraid
Of its wetness
Washed by
Gentleness
Touching you
With peace.

An enjoyable piece, that left me wanting more! Many a night, I've listened to the rain fall at night, at my summer property (at the lake) - so I can easily imagine the peace; nice job. -Joe Breunig Reaching Towards His Unbounded Glory
