Gentle Moon Poem by Viola Grey

Gentle Moon

Rating: 4.1

Gentle moon -
guide us towards another night,
lead us foward into trees
immense, dark, scented
with delusional dreams
of lovers trysts.
Once scattered, as daisies,
now we brightly blossom
towards nights cold call.

Gentle stars -
wink secrets spilled
as you fall into nothingness,
telling the daylight
of our shadowed dreams,
whispering loudly
how we dark immortals
owe you our souls,
are in debt to your fire.

As I gaze to the night sky, the eloquence of your poem will be at the fore.

Viola Grey, We look for adjectives or adverbs to define a noun.None can be found to describe your visionary writes! Beyond beautiful fron down under, keep them coming across that 'ocean' of time. Sharing is inspiring to a few of us, thank you...got to check out the moon tonight.

There's something mysterious and almosy 'prayer' like about this poem..... I had to read it and read it and read it..... I guess that's what good poetry does to me.... Wonderful imagery. Keep posting.
