Feride Serin

Her sağnak acı
içimize doluyordu şimşekleriyle bizi sarsarak
gerçeğin kaybolan silületi arasına sıkışan ruhlarımız
gök kuşağını arıyordu
mumla
zamanla yarışarak

kabus ise
yolun sonunda
bizi bekliyordu
kucak açarak

    Betimleme harika, diri dizeler.

I like your poem Poppies also. I had to translate it with Google Translate but am not certain that the translation is accurate. See translation below*. I liked the image of the blood crying poppies as if the scarlet poppies are an outgrowth of the blood shed.

    *poppies

In this place of hope abandoned
The smell of the soil was crouched burnout
    blood crying poppies
They had forgotten smiles in the steppe
    the wind, fought in vain

Bah humbug, the foot is no longer heard voices
accuracy within the circle of fear, roasted
    eyes writhing of fleeing
    we are still
both blind and deaf-mute as if both

    land wind hitting our faces
    disregard the mind ignore
dissatisfaction with the power flowing in
bagnazca kamçiliyordu whiteness of pure water

    Each bitter storm
shake us to our inner lightning filled
wedged between the lost souls of truth silületi
looking for a band of sky
    wax
    racing against time

    in a nightmare
At the end of the road
    waiting for us
    opening lap (Report) Reply

poet Katharine Lee Bates

O beautiful for spacious skies,
For amber waves of grain,
For purple mountain majesties
Above the fruited plain!
America! America!
