Gde zeka pije vodu

U sokaku ćorsokaku
Il u mraku
Tu za kvaku

Pa kod vrata
Il kod brata
Polubrata s trećeg sprata

Il kod peći
Takoreći
Zaklon prvi ili treći

Il kad vruće
Pa od kuće
Kano ptica otcvrkuće

Kad komšija nešto svija
Pa da šija
Ne ćarlija

Mrda brke
Evo frke

Vetrić mali
Glava fali

Ode glava a i rep
Zeka beše baš baš lep

Niz potočić suza taknu
Zeku vetrić samo maknu

Niz rečicu jauk teče
Vetrić vetrić mnogo peče

Pa sad kaž'te tužno li je
Gde to zeka vodu pije

poet Ralph Waldo Emerson

Knows he who tills this lonely field
To reap its scanty corn,
What mystic fruit his acres yield
At midnight and at morn?
