Gazing White Silence Poem by Ram Krishna Singh

Gazing White Silence

Rating: 5.0

Last night I woke up
to respond to the door bell
murmuring God's name

when I unbolted
found none but a passing soul
stopped for a moment

on its knees, peeking
into its own clasped hands
gazing white silence

Good poem. But I am not able to picture 'white' silence..which makes it abstract..and am not sure what 'white silence' really means like how different is it from the normal silence.(though I have read the term used many times) .Thank you.
