Gathered Pearls Poem by Heather Burns

Gathered Pearls

Rating: 5.0

Pearls
gathered
from the
ocean

Restored
so
beautifully

Strung
on a
necklace

Hang
so
patiently

Soon
became
saddened

Missing
their home
away

Tears
silently
flowing

Nerves
began
to fray

Pearls
gathered
from the
ocean

Memories
of
yesterday.

Beautiful poem. I love the rendering of the pearls homesickness. It gives such a feeling of nostalgia. You can actually touch it. Very well written. Thank you. [3
