Gate Of The Sun … 1312 - 2012

(Puerta del Sol - Spanish)

Silent hugging clinging forms
in tangy flavour of mixed dorms

graceful swaying catwalk gals
hand in hand wander lost pals

Midnight smiles at peurta del sol
gurgle of bottles like a water fall

pouting founts at plazas and sols
carefree to frost those leggy dolls

Scribbled graffiti on metro walls
Latte cappuccino at estación stalls

Clarinet and saxo waft on the air
young afro sings without a care

the marble lions without a lair
teenage simbas with purple hair

frozen artists in painted garb
elderly tramp with a frayed harp

glimmering cones of set up lights
heighten the fête of avid nights

Equestrian perch of Carlos three
bears get high on a Madrono tree
