Garlands For Them Too… Poem by sisirachandra vaduge

Garlands For Them Too…

Worker parents of Rubber Plantation
Rushed to the school in a sudden arrangement
Garlands, beetles, sweet meals, thunnooru, oil lamp scarification
Amazing how they knew today's world Teachers Day celebration?

No more banquetes, parades, pandols and extravaganza
Astonished school Teachers, their education and propaganda
Poors uneducated but never forget your value it's their agenda
Humble admiration is for teacher service bonanza…

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Exceptional labour community attitudes, sensitivity and awareness towards education and its operating systems is highly admirable in this modern society despite the locality and society and economy of this plot.

Poets notes.
Monaragala Bibilewattha Srilanka Tamil primary school teachers are garlanded by same rubber tapping workers of same plantation school on 6th October 2012 at the school premises.
