Garden Poem by Daniel Bowyer

Garden

I stumbled upon a garden
That I never knew was mine
And I walked on through
Smelling each flower so sweet
That enchanted me so
So I stayed in the garden for a time
And the garden grew strong
The colours were vibrant
Every spare moment I walked in my garden
Until one day the sky above was grey
And the flowers began to wilt
And the colours left for all my time and care
So I burned it down, So nothing could grow
I bolted the gate as I left
Memories of that place lingered
And lingered
