Ganap na Kalayaan


Nilamon ng pagnanasang pinalago ng mapang-akit na ulan
Tumatawag at humahalina sa bawat taong dumaraan
Hahaplosin ng malamig na hanging tila may isip
at tsaka hihilian ka't babasain papalayo sa'yong atip

Marahang-marahang lalakad at tatawid sa nagpuputik na daan
Pakiming lalakaran and damuhang tila walang hangan
pag-dating sa kalagitnaa'y pipikit at raramdamin
ang pag-agos ng tubig-ulan sa paang walang sapin

Nag-aagaw ang lamig at init sa iyong katawan
Babalik ang mga ala-alang minsan nang tinakasan
at tsaka maririnig ang bumibilis na patak
na sinasabyan ng tibok ng pusong payak

Iba't ibang alala't iba't ibang tao
sa mga dumating at mga naglaho.

Babagal ang patak ng ulan
manginginig pag'kay hinipan
ng hanging tila may ibig sabihin;
ng hanging nagnanais na ika'y gisingin.

Sa patak ng ulan kasabay ang pintig
imumulat ang mata sa katotohanan
Isipang malaya sa puso'y umuusig
Sa pag-lisan bunga'y kalungkutan
Kalungkutang daan tungo sa ganap na kalayaan.
