Galatians 2: 1-10 Poem by Don Nguyen

Galatians 2: 1-10

When the stars circle around the sun to catch some sun rays
In playful mood, stars dance and sing all their joyful days
But in one unexpectant moments, clouds come cover their beloved sun
Their spirits are crushed for they are unprepared for that unseen but foreseen,
the moment their sun depart
I don't want to be the sun, never, true, never,
for being the sun is contrary to what I am trained in my spiritual endeavors
All my life I have yearned to follow someone, not to lead
Because I don't want to expose myself and be beaten by the cruel world
I just desire to withdraw into the shadow and remain there with the comforting Divine Spirit
But the world somehow always find me and bid me out
To serve them faithfully only to be treated unmercifully
Strangers look up me a leader or celebrity, or a fool,
then only to find faults and begins their cruelties
But I just have to remind myself what you expect for it comes with territory
One serves Jesus need to be like Jesus, be ending up like Him
That means to be hung out dried in the cold brisk day with raging wind
Full of thunders, furies, that life calls challenges or matters of fact
For those who have weak stomach to stay far away or inside
Their safe houses not to venture outside
Only for the lonely foolish brave traveler
Who continues his long enduring pass, hopefully catch sight of some lost souls
In the life violent storm.
