    Wonderful poem, Chandra! As they say, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger :) favourite lines:

    Distress gives you the grit and determination,
    To overcome the bitterness in the situation.

    And indeed it does. Thanks for sharing!

    Beautiful poem. When we come to accept pain as a part of life we learn to be content. Thank you for sharing. (Report) Reply

    Chandra Thiagarajan I enjoyed reading this poem. My only lament as a reader and not as a poet, because I can claim your poems as a reader, and gain from them an infinite moment in the finite moments I have, is why do you still as a poet are so kind to God? Just a thought. Brilliant poem, I loved the quality of words you chose, it shows you truly studied and read, unlike me who never and till date hates studying and reading only googling. You temper people just the same way you do steel. Heat and pressure gives superb quality to steel. So too when people are tested they become quality steel. (Report) Reply

The month of carnival of all the year,
When Nature lets the wild earth go its way,
And spend whole seasons on a single day.
The spring-time holds her white and purple dear;
