G String (An Adult Poem)

What cheats the eye of carnal knowledge
Is an enigmatic casing
A film of fabric that conceals the humble abode
Sought by the pearl seeker
The testosterone charged quest
Of the estrogen grail

A deceptively frail crusader
Guarding the sacred gate to bliss
Of a gender bestowed the beacons of attraction
Of what is wooed by the bronze
And what traverses the retina

For between the devolution of cover
And the evolution of skin
Lies a perennial bridge
Of a slender costume - A tease in string

Poem of the Day

poet Paul Laurence Dunbar

The mist has left the greening plain,
The dew-drops shine like fairy rain,
The coquette rose awakes again
Her lovely self adorning.

The Wind is hiding in the trees,
