Living in a rich country while being poor is much harder than anyone thinks. If you are poor in a rich country the prices will be higher for you, you probably wouldn’t have a good education because you can’t pay for it and you would have to rely on the government for help. You will have to rely on friends for money or even car rides to get to places. Being poor in a poor country is not easy, but being poor in a rich country is much harder.

Being poor in a rich country will not make it easy to buy things that you need. To other rich people buying things will not be a hassle because they are rich and everything is low to them. While to you, you can’t buy the luxury things you may want, you would have to settle for the no name brands or the cheap things that aren’t the same. Getting a house and paying the bills will be hard; you’re using most of your check that you get every other week. Buying clothes will be difficult, you can’t buy what you want when you want like the regular people in your country. Paying your taxes and bills will demolish your pay check from your job. It’ll have you living from check to check barely making it through.

Being poor also makes it hard for you to go to college or even finish college. If you don’t finish college it’s hard to find a good job that’ll make it easier on you so you won’t be living from pay check to pay check. Finishing college is the goal of most people and not being able to get your college diploma because your family couldn’t pay through it is a huge upset. It will have you dreading everything and getting more than one job so your kids won’t have the same problem. Being poor in a rich country would have you living on the low end having two or three jobs to make ends meet. Causing more stress than normally needed.

Being poor in a rich country forces you to rely on the government for food stamps and other welfare programs. It makes you shy and stay away from people because you have to use welfare programs to make ends meet. Living in a rich country and being poor should put you in the range to live on food stamps and other welfare programs. It helps you but also destroys you in a way. It helps you because it makes it easier to get the needed things without using your own money. It destroys you to because it makes you feel weak like you have to depend on someone else and you can’t do anything about it because you don’t have the money. Being poor in a rich country will have a huge impact in your life both financially and emotionally.
