Futile Love - Poem by Joy Lovelet Crawford

You pour out your love to him
He ignores it, but why?
He looks at every other woman
But looks not in your direction

Your love is wasted and futile
It has fallen on rocky ground
And will bear no fruit
Only because he knows not how to love
