Fur Crying Out Loud Poem by Ramona Thompson

Fur Crying Out Loud

For those who wear fur-A protest poem

Furious and I want you to know why
Unable to stand by one minute more while you murder my kind just so you can look good
Racing to beat your fancy fancy friends in the games played by the rich and the fabulous

Can't bare to go fake
Refuse to fight for your own beliefs
Young and fearful you are so afraid that you will be cast out of the popular one's circle that you hide who you really are
Insanity to be one of the in-crowd at a price so very high
Nothing will sway you from them however it seems not even the tears of this innocent you so cruelly destoryed
Ganged up on me and my family before we even had a chance to defend ourselves

Only wanted what you wanted without any care for any other's happy home
Understanding these wicked selfish acts I know none of my kind will ever be able to do
Tottally from 2 different worlds that should never have crossed

Lingering doubts I often wonder if you ever have about what you do to us
One just one is too many a sacrifice for beautie's vanity
Ugly is what you really are to so proudly display the dead upon yourself
Damned shame that so often you ignore us

The fur crying out loud

Please don't murder for beauty
For the pleasure of being pretty
Fur crying out loud
No more!
