Fundamentals Poem by Kelvin Owusu

Fundamentals

Rating: 5.0

I belong, you belong, we all belong
Why can't you see that we're more than
Just a needle in a hay stack?
Beyond sight of a visual screen
I am, you are, we are a rainbow unseen
A timeless classic, only seen on a silver screen
Thought to exist only in fairy tale dreams
As our beauty and warmth is seen to be
Nothing more than an illusion
Thrown around often, that we have
become the definition of loss of meaning
though this may be so, we are truth
lies, beauty, cries, smiles and cracks
We are all that is good and bad
flawed with no imperfection
I'm the additional ingredient of your creation
Me, you, we are one and the same.

A burst on the imagery of life and its fundamentals wherefrom we are incapable to escape.
