Fun Collections Poem by Marilyn Lott

I love to look at artwork
So many different kinds
If you go through museums
You never know what you’ll find

Some are world famous
Their work is very expensive
Other’s we haven’t heard of
Still they are very expressive

And then there are the statues
Sculpted with extreme care
They look so life-like, you know
Some are even, well, bare

Recently I saw some cow bones
Yes, that’s exactly what they were
Thousands of real cow bones
They certainly made a stir

And pennies, millions of pennies
It was really hard to believe
Now that is quite a collection
So difficult it is to conceive

But you know, no matter what
You think of someone has done
Collections are amazing
It’s whatever one thinks of as fun!
