Dilantha Gunawardana

Fruity Lips - Poem by Dilantha Gunawardana

Insipid lips
Perforated of passion
Like the shriveled skin
Of a sun-dried cherry tomato
Yearning to be vitalized
By the imprint of man
To summon the rich succulence
Of a crescent of watermelon

Dilantha you rock. Natural, graceful, a ballad of words, so gentle yet so ferociously passionate. (Report) Reply
