Luck is the same
for Man and flower
I think they have
The same birth star.
Flower and man
Man and flower
Start their lives
From lap of soil
Pass through the stages
Of their lives,
Get their nourishment
From the kind soil;
So soil is the mother
Of man and flower
Their start and end
Both are same
Their only difference is
in their names.
But when Time comes
They get withered.
And again lie back
In the soft and kind
Lap of soil…
.
wonderful poem and soil is used metaphorically...i like it very much..
A genuine poetic concern resulting in the writing of a poem... Man is the fortress of life and tracing him in the Shahzian track has just been amusing. Poetry breaks all barriers here and your perception gets aglow. As a man I would like to be plant and not its flower though..
I like the comparison, Shahzia. We come from soil, we return to soil and in between our task is just to emanate beauty. The flower its external beauty with wonderful colors and then us our soul beauty with our wonderful thoughts, words and acts. Let us think of the flower and consciously perform a few beautiful acts of kindness, rendering us beautiful like the flower, before we wither and return to the soil. Thought provoking imaginative, melodious write. Good.
Man and flower both the beauty of the earth. Magnificent comparison. A special poem. Both add beauty and both should be spreading fragrance. By men I mean mankind.... They get withered. And again lie back In the soft and kind Lap of soil… Great

Tenderly put circle of life The beauty of poetry lies in the mundane made special by play of words. And that is seen here par excellence. Loved the way u seamlessly juggles soil man and flower. V nice poetry..... :)
