Frozen vases

Vases frozen in time,
the sunlight slanting silently
on the marble-polished glass,
rainbows of paint streaked
across the glossy surface,
the clouds far above
seem to have stopped in
this infinite second,
reflecting on this shine,
vases frozen in time,
the breeze glides upon
this smooth surface,
perfuming it with the flowers
of early spring in silent bloom,
and the scent of the last
petals of fading winter dreams,
capturing the images of
harmony and tranquility
amidst the smooth curves,
vases frozen in time.
