From Work Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

From Work

From work

A knapsack on her back
she has bags in both hands
two hanging from left
one of right.

Sure comes back from work.

First she does when at home
throws shoes off her feet
then kitchen, leave the bags
eggs and milk, and butter
placing in fridge

most to do is drink
cup of the skimmed thing
rush to bed, for morning.

This is our way of life
like the goat in the herd
the milk is, for master.
