From The Horse's Mouth Poem by Anupama Anpat

From The Horse's Mouth

A symbol of royalty,
the frame strides swiftly,
air caresses it’s mane,
exotic, whether wild or tame.

It’s beauty is incomparable,
venerated in stories and fables.
From famed warriors to kings,
idolised as a creature on wings.

Running wild in meadows,
chased by its own shadow.
A sheer image of virility,
the gait strong and steady.

A well sculpted creature,
chic illustration of nature.
Owned as a prized possession,
a hobby of superlative passion.

A thoroughbred and class apart,
a true example of life in art.
Anatomy and spirit all agree,
its full glory is attained, when free.
