From Now Until Forever Poem by Arik Fletcher

From Now Until Forever

There was a brighter time before,
A light that shone from sea to shore,
Two pairs of hands entwined in love,
Two souls made one by gods above.

The years could have been much kinder,
We've not needed a reminder,
Two faces looking in the mirror,
Two souls joined through thick and thinner.

*****
Our hearts may still be broken,
Yet love has been awoken,
So we'll walk this road together,
From now until forever.
*****

There was a darker time back then,
A night we thought might never end,
Two pairs of eyes that cried in vain,
Two souls locked in the grip of pain.

The sun shone through the fog of war,
We saw the light and so much more,
Two distant minds brought back as one,
Two souls that chose to stand not run.

*****
Our hearts may still be broken,
But take this as a token,
That we'll stay like this together,
From now until forever.
*****

There may be dark days still to come,
A time where dreams will come undone,
Two pairs of feet that want to flee,
Two lives that long to be set free.

The bond we share will pass each test,
We'll put all doubts and fears to rest,
Two candles that will ever burn,
Two lives that follow what they learn.

*****
Our hearts may still be broken,
Through all that we have spoken,
But we'll keep this up together,
From now until forever.
*****

There may be brighter moments still,
A fantasy we'll both fulfil,
Two pairs of ears that heed the call,
Two souls willing to risk it all.

The life we lead is but the start,
We'll learn to fix each broken heart,
Two lives meant to be joined as one,
Two souls walking towards the sun.

*****
Our hearts may still be broken,
But please don't think I'm joking,
I know we'll still be together,
From now until forever.
