From Kindle To Ashes

Rating: 4.7

Our journey travelled now divides
A love of which been pushed aside
With no one standing, by each side
Our journey travelled now divides

My shattered dreams of me and you
Of what once was and always knew,
In memory of love once true
My shattered dreams of me and you

Now searching through the undefined,
My weakened heart and fragile mind,
With stars above, far from aligned
Now searching through the undefined

Our journey travelled now divides
A love of which been pushed aside
With no one standing, by each side
Our journey travelled now divides.

A separation can be hard on the mind and body that can take a lot to get over. A great poem.

'Our journey travelled now divides' loved this line and the way you start the poem with this line, repeated it again at the end of the first stanza, then enclosed the poem by repeating the first stanza again as the last stanzas; I loved all the last lines in your stanzas, especially the strength of the third stanza. I wonder how you feel about the word 'which' becoming 'life' in the second line? 'A love of life been pushed aside' which seems to fit your feelings and overall sentiment? :)

Love is a spiritual experience that affects us profoundly, its effects linger long after the source of stimulation is gone. It's whimsical and temperamental, coming unannounced and may leave without warning. A lovely piece of poetry nicely penned with good rhyme scheme. Thanks for sharing. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON.
