From Grave Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

From Grave

Rating: 5.0

I shall rise from grave to greet
If any time in life you failed to meet
I may prefer to live no more
When there is nothing but only grief to store

You were at dilemma to choose
I was down to find and at loss
What did you say me at last?
Pick me up with time and act fast

I ventured into your eyes and found glare
It almost posed a question and stared
Do you not want me to accompany?
In whole life as partner and company

It was now your turn to ask for promise
What shall I do to her till last day of demise?
I developed cold feet for a moment
There was heavy tug of war with thoughts and movement

Here was my dream world
Asking to join in fold
I just got carried away with wind
She stood in front of me just to find

I look at her magic eyes and smile
She has elegant way and new style
All worthy of being a good and lovable friend
A diamond or jewel to stay with me tills the end

"Love, please hold me strong"
Allow me to go not anytime wrong
I am normal human and sold for song
A love bird that can do nothing but can sing and travel long

I shall make halt where I feel your presence
I have gone too far and want it to happen at once
You have come in my life not by chance
But by sheer luck with strong metal and substance

Love, I make final bid and choose final abode
Rest there for life and stay deep below and bade
Both the hands to rise for your safety and well being
I am buried under earth to enjoy your company as king

You have rich treasure of glorious eyes
That is worth to make attempt and try
If at all was possible, I wanted to fly
But alas! Got bogged down and felt very shy
